This series consists of a register used to record the details of surveys completed on land lots in Darwin and Alice Springs. The Darwin section of the register (pages 1-147) has a date range of 5/3/1953-22/11/1967. Each page is divided into six columns titled; lot no. [number], survey plan, detail plan, DTAL [file prefix], area, and remarks. The Alice Springs section of the register (pages 223-302) has a date range of 31/1/1952-6/8/1964. Each page is divided into six columns titled; survey plan, lot no. [number], detail plan, lease no. [number], area, and remarks. Lots identified in the Alice Springs section include the Court House (page 224, Lot No.63), Government Residence (page 224, Lot No.64), and the John Flynn Memorial (page 242, Lot No.690). The remarks column, in both sections, was used to refer to a file or field book, or action (eg, auction), or to give details of the location (eg, Dinah's Beach is idenitified in the Darwin section on page 59, Lot Nos. 1908-1911). Other lots identified in the Darwin section are the Parap Picture Theatre (page 83, Lot No.2764) and the Fort Hill Wharf (page 102, Lot No.3429).
